About Us

Aegean Arts is a small, independent printmaking studio located in the mountain village of Ampelos on the Greek island of Samos. Surrounded by vineyards, forested hills, and the wide blue of the Aegean Sea, our studio offers a peaceful space for artists to work, learn, and reconnect with their creativity.

We specialise in copper plate etching, linocut, cyanotype, drawing, monoprints, and a range of experimental printmaking techniques. Whether you are new to printmaking or looking to expand your practice, we provide a supportive environment where exploration and curiosity are encouraged.

Each summer, we host small-group printmaking retreats designed to bring artists together for focused studio time, hands-on learning, and shared meals in our local tavernas. Our courses blend structured demonstrations with open studio sessions, allowing plenty of space for personal projects, experimentation, and quiet reflection.

At Aegean Arts, we believe in slowing down, working with your hands, and finding inspiration in the landscape and culture of Samos. Our aim is simple: to offer a creative escape where people can learn, make, connect, and return home with new skills—and a renewed sense of artistic energy.
